New Entrance for Kohala Sunday Sitting!
Head east on Akoni Pule Hwy (270) toward Pololu from Kapa’au Town.
You will pass Arakaki Market on your right and then Kohala Middle School on your left.
The road will dip down and then pull up a gentle hill passing mile-marker 25 on your right.
Directly after mile marker 25, at the top of the hill (less than 1/2 a mile past Kohala Middle School), you will take a left onto a gravel road toward a gate leading to a long road headed makai (toward the ocean). The road is not yet on maps but will be called “Ala Maluhia” – There is a sign on the gate for “Inhabit Sanctuary.“
The gate should be unlocked 15 minutes before the sitting. The gate will remain unlocked but closed for the duration of the sitting. If it is not unlocked when you arrive, just park to the side and wait. Please close the gate behind you when you come in!
Pass through the gate and follow the road all the way to Pratt Rd. As the road bends, hang right and take your first left through the gate onto our land. Follow the path between the palms on your left to the Sunday sitting tent!
