We are very happy new announce a retreat this January with Sayadaw U Thuzana, abbot of Tathagata Meditation Center (TMC) in San Jose, CA. Sayadaw has offered retreats in Hawai‘i for the past few years and we are immensely grateful that he has offered to return!
The retreat will be held from January 13-20, 2015 at the Palolo Zen Center in Honolulu, HI.

Friends, we are very sad to let you all know that Sayadaw U Lakkhana passed away on June 4, 2014 at 1:30pm local time in his room at Kyaswa Monastery in Myanmar. We will all miss him dearly. The village of Wachet will miss him dearly, as will many people around the world. He offered a uniquely powerful voice of Dhamma rooted in kindness and compassion. His offerings to the world were many and great. We are profoundly grateful to him and will continue to honor and support his good works in Wachet and beyond in every way that we can.
