Making a Donation

From the Pali language of the Buddha's time, dana is the word meaning “generosity” and it is the foundation of our organizational goals and support network. Supporting the work of Vipassana Hawai'i is a pure act of generosity, and it is a mutually beneficial relationship between all members of our community from the VH Board of Directors, to the teachers, to the sangha, all the way down to the recipients of our conservation projects here in Hawai'i, as well as the humanitarian programs in Southeast Asia. Your generosity helps us continue our programs throughout the year.

Help make our vision real: Hawai'i Insight Meditation Center
The Hawai'i Insight Meditation Center (HIMC) is envisioned as a retreat hermitage and refuge; a place designed on an intimate scale and serving as a gathering place for contemplative practice away from the hectic turmoil of modern society. Learn more

Just as we cultivate a mind that is integrated and balanced, so we intend to build a center that reflects the same values: One that blends into the natural surroundings of the beauty of our land in Hawai'i, and consumes resources modestly with gratitude and respect. A place where the basic material needs of life are easily met, freeing as much energy as possible to travel the path of insight and open-heartedness. Make this vision our legacy to the teaching of Dhamma in Hawai'i by making a donation today. Thank you for your generosity and support.
