Driving directions:
From either Waimea (Mountain Road) or Kona (Queen Ka‘ahumanu Hwy.), reach Akoni Pule Highway (Hwy 270), and drive in the direction of Pololu look-out. Go through Kapa‘au, past the statue.
When you pass a stretch of houses along the highway (Hala‘ula), you'll also pass the 25 Mile Marker. Keep going. Pretty soon you dip into a gulch and back out again. On your right is the Rankin Gallery and a Chinese temple.
Begin looking for a sign to a cemetery, on your left (ocean side), just before you cross a one-lane bridge and before you pass the 26 mile marker. Turn into this road. At the T, turn left again. Stay on this uneven road through a tunnel of trees and until you reach its end, right where it wants to veer back to the highway. We are the property on the right, oceanside. There is a small sign. It's adjacent to HipAg, an agricultural school with a much bigger sign and a big house.
If you come for the Sunday sittings, sometimes the gate remains closed until about a quarter to 4, so if you are early, just walk in, or wait for one of us.
